Online registration closes Thursday, April 22, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. ET, unless the race reaches capacity before then.

Yes. Participants must be at least 16 years old on race day, April 25, 2027. Participants who are 16 or 17 will need a parent or guardian to accept the waiver during registration.

Yes. Walk-up registration will be available Saturday, April 24, at the Final Rate while capacity remains.

Yes. A $10 discount is available to verified military members and first responders. The discount is available during eligible registration periods.

Yes. Groups of 10 or more can receive $10 off per registrant through a group code. Group pricing is available during eligible registration periods.

Once the race reaches capacity, registration will close and a waitlist may be activated.

The Motor City Half is a 13.1-mile half marathon.

The race finishes at Chandler Park Field House, also known as The Dome, in Detroit.

Yes. The Motor City Half will be chip-timed, with official results provided following the race.

Participants will be placed in corrals based on the estimated finish time provided during registration.

Packet pickup

Packet pickup will take place Saturday, April 24, 2027, at The Dome at Chandler Park Field House.

Hours will be announced closer to race weekend.

Bring your race confirmation and a valid photo ID.

Transfers, deferrals and refunds

Yes. Registration transfers are available through Friday, April 9, 2027. A $15 transfer fee is paid by the incoming participant. The incoming participant must meet the minimum age requirement and complete their own registration and waiver.

Yes. Participants can defer their registration once to the 2028 event for a $50 fee. The deadline to request a deferral is Friday, April 9, 2027.

Registration fees are nonrefundable. Refundable Registration will be available as an optional protection at checkout.

The race may modify the course, start time or race format when necessary for safety, permitting or weather conditions. These changes do not qualify for a refund.

Additional information

Participants who need an accessibility accommodation can indicate their request during registration. Our team will work with participants individually to determine appropriate accommodations for the course.
